Interstellar

I just realized I haven’t talked about The Odyssey in any of my reviews yet, so I will now. Christopher Nolan making this adaptation sent me spiraling. A lot of news makes me spiral, but this made me literally crash out (complementary obviously). I don’t mean to be hyperbolic, but this might be one of the biggest movie-news of our lifetime— this is the biggest filmmaker, adapting one of the biggest pieces of literature ever with a CRAZY ensemble— a mythic epic that follows Odysseus and his 10-year journey home. Using your blank check to make an Odyssey adaptation with huge animatronics instead of CGI is why I will never listen to Nolan doubters/haters. He is one of the best working ever. He consistently delivers. I just love him so fucking much. We just got our first official look at Matt Damon not that long ago, and if there’s one thing I can guarantee you is that I will lose my mind at any bit of news from this film, no matter how big or how small. Such a massive project for such a massive filmmaker to take on that probably no one else could’ve adapted. Every day passing the ensemble continues to grow, and it’s extremely exciting stuff. I really hope it’s 6 hours long. Not a 2-parter, just one 6-hour film. I think that would be very cool!
