Moonlight

I will always praise how perfect the performances are in this film. From childhood to manhood the portrayals of both Chiron and Kevin are fucking phenomenal. And I’ve said so many times but it literally feels like it’s been filmed over the course of many years rather than just having actors on different parts of the time line.  There’s beautiful lighting in this film which greatly reflects off of Chiron’s alienation from the world. With a low budget film, it’s amazing how angelic every scene looks. I have problems with shots that just drag onto one specific thing for a while bc it risks boring the viewer but Moonlight manages to make every shot look mesmerizing.
