Scavenger Hunt 5027/31Task 4: Watch a film about an artist or author

It's no secret that I'm a slut for music movies. This one included.
Elton John's story feels a lot like everyone else's, but there's just something about the fantastical elements, the performance by Taron Egerton both in actung and singing, as well as the direction from Dexter Fletcher. They all knew what they were doing. So did Elton John who seemed to have enoughto do with this movie to let it be rated R. This movie needed that.
My only real gripe is that some of the stuff still feels very formulaic with the structure towards the middle. I rolled my eyes when the newspaper headline scene happened and the whole slideshow at the end showing us what happened after the movie, but everything else I really enjoyed. There wasn't a dull moment with Egerton's performance and even though there was no real LiveAid type of performance, the onstage stuff was still fairly well executed.
Go see this in like the Dolby theater or something. If the music doesn't burst your eardrums then it's not loud enough. The end.
