pure movie magic. forgot how fucking perfect this movie is. easily chazelles best. i remember watching this for the first time and being absolutely floored by how good it was, and it was even better on rewatch. definitely the best of the decade so far, and its in my top 10 films oat. so over the top in the best way possible. one of my favorite scores and some of my favorite shots in all of cinema. its hard to believe its over 3 hours long because it flies by, and that ending is the cherry on top. now that ive actually seen singin in the rain, its even better. shouldve gotten way more love when it came out
