Dune: Part TwoToby Nettleship10.0· March 3, 2024Follow2024 rankedim glad to say that all the reviews calling this the best sequel of all time weren't exaggerating. this is a modern day empire strikes back. im glad i experienced this masterpiece in theaters, because its visually stunning, and i was immersed the full 2 hours and 47 minutes. this just proves denis villeneuve is one of the greatest directors of all time. everybody brings their best preformance to this movie. timothée chalamet as paul atreides is a perfect casting, and he gives an oscar worthy performance. im glad zendaya got more than 3 minutes of screentime because shes on timothées level. both javier bardem and josh brolin were both great as well. as for the harkonnenes, dave bautista and stellan skarsgård were great, but austin butler as feyd-rautha was definitely the standout. he was definitely a force to be reckoned with, and austin butler was another perfect casting, but i dont think he should be in the best movie villains conversation like ive seen some people say. overall, it might be recency bias, but this truly might be the best sequel ever made and one of the best movies this decadeCommentsSign in to react and join the conversation.Sign inGet the appSee all Toby's reviews for Dune: Part Two (2)First watch10.0March 3, 2024Rewatch 110.0June 24, 2025
