Freaky

happy death day & 2U: annual birthday watchesfreaky: friday the 13th watch christopher landon is one of my favorite new directors because he created 3 amazing horror-comedies that understand horror tropes/cliches and uses them to his advantage. Freaky shows that when given an R rating he will use it as much as possible without becoming excessive, but can also make good PG-13 horror films. this film was a great score, amazing writing, and fantastic performances. i can’t wait for the day Happy Death Day to All of Us comes out and we get a HDD/Freaky crossover since the films take place in the same universe. also, im super excited for Christopher to take on Scream 7 since i tend to enjoy his films but i wonder how he’s going to handle already established characters. i hope he continues the modernization of Scream but also doesn’t go too far into comedy and keeps these films semi-serious. im down for anything this man does.
