Saw
an amazing horror movie that i can’t wait to hopefully see in theaters one day. this film was absolutely groundbreaking for the horror genre as a whole and i’m happy it is getting all the love it deserves. an amazing script, wonderful performances, stellar cinematography, fantastic production design, impeccable score, and beautiful effects. absolutely stellar filmmaking all around that, rightfully, skyrocketed James Wan and Leigh Whannell’s careers.
i am watching this film not only for spooky season, but because my upcoming short film will be inspired by Saw and it felt right to watch it as we are halfway through pre-production and a few weeks away from production (which is why i haven’t been too active watching any movies — besides now since i’m currently sick). so yeah, very exciting things are currently underway and i can’t wait for it to all come together one day.
if you haven’t watched Saw yet, idk what you’re waiting for but the time is now. i wish Saw XI was still releasing this year, but i’m happy they’re not rushing things so we can hopefully get a film just as good, if not better, than Saw X.
