Sing Street

2016 "Sing Street" is not only one of the best feel good and coming of age films I've seen, but also one of the best music films. The cast is fantastic and great down to the smallest supporting role and the characters are all very well written, from the lead to his love interest to the supportive brother. I really liked the setting in 1985 in Dublin, and I also really liked the way the film deals with certain topics and the solutions it finds. The soundtrack is outstanding and the band's songs are absolutely fantastic and are something I really would and will listen to. The music and the scenes in which the characters make music are absolutely great from the writing of the lyrics to the actual performing to the music video shoots and the first gig I was completely there and had so much fun. Sound design and especially the costumes were superb. The film is very humorous and funny, but has a lot of heartfelt moments and often emotional impact and I was very invested and it makes you both happy and sad. "Sing Street" is a really great film whose soundtrack is already one of my favorites. Everything about the film fits and works extremely well. I really have nothing to criticize.
