This beta feature has already generated hundreds of thousands of views on social media – demand for AI-personalized recommendations is widespread.

Whereas Discover Weekly surfaces general top picks, on-demand recs surface deep recommendations for right now. Want a 2020s action comedy movie under 90 minutes? Want a horror movie on a streaming service you have access to? On-demand recommendations surfaces your best movie match.

This type of analysis is only possible with AI and takes into account factors that might affect a user's current watching mood (time of day, historical watching trends, recent social engagement).

But the AI integration doesn't stop at the recommendations themselves. Each on-demand pick comes equipped with a convincing AI-powered analysis of why the user will love the film: this film "looks like" an existing favorite of yours, "sounds like" another existing favorite of yours, and "feels like" another existing favorite of yours.
