Kevin Smith (Ranking): My Journey from Childhood Favorite to Ongoing Teenage Obsession

Kevin Smith is my second favorite filmmaker ever next to Edgar Wright. Not because all his movies are masterpieces. Some of them are definitely shit, but he was one of the first filmmakers to really make me love cinema. He snuck into my life as a kid with Clerks and never left. From the comic-book obsession and long-winded speeches and conversations to the heartfelt world of Jersey, he became my full-blown favorite.

Even with some duds, ranking his films wasn’t easy, but I had to try.
