Tarkovsky’s Favorite Films
According to a list that film critic Leonid Kozlov recieved in 1972
I can only imagine what he thought about other films by his fellow directors. Like scenes from a marriage, autumn sonata, cries and whispers, fanny and alexander, the devil probably, the face of another, ran and sanshiro. And that is only from the directors that I know that he liked.
I personally think that he would have loved the likes of Bela Tarr, Andrey Zvyagintsev, Michael Haneke, Hu bo, Edward Yang but especially Charlie Kaufman as he also makes very deep, dense and introspective works of art.
