Never watched this film before and I thought as a huge war film enjoyer and someone who is in the marines that this movie would be bangin. Nope, I was wrong, this movie pretty much sucks all over. As per usual, I’ll start with the bad, and boy there’s a lot of it. What the fuck was that script, the way the marines in this movie talked, it made my skin crawl, they sounded like a bunch of losers and weirdos, like yeah, the military is like that but we sure as hell don’t talk like that all the time and if you do, we gonna clown you. Cringe worthy dialog. 2, this movie was lowkey kinda boring, even the big action sequences were dull. Another thing, this gunny would’ve been sent to the brig like the first day for literally shooting at people at random, so stupid. The romance was bland, it was just all around bad. Really the only good part is the training scenes. Yeah, this one was a slogfest. Also side note, like 90% of the vehicles and other equipment is shit still in use today. God help us all.

I liked it. It gave of kinda similar vibes as Stripes, but with a little more violence. I thought it was good and fun. Watched it with dad who loved pausing and relating the movie to his own experiences. Clint Eastwoods badass man.

Eastwood no actúa, manda. Cada línea es un tatuaje en la piel del cine. “He bebido más cerveza, he meado más sangre y he hecho más polvos que todos vosotros juntos capillos” Y tú mientras marcando el paso militar.

La película es testosterona, disciplina y mala leche en estado puro. Pero también es respeto, lealtad y redención. Mil tópicos. Mil frases. Me las sé todas.
