Its terrible to imagine feeling so horrible in your body and not having any info or understanding as to what could be going on. so many unique stories of how these women came to find themselves and it was also a reminder at how people dont have to live by rules even made up by the queer community. Your life is yours to live. Casa susanna must have been a safe haven and good memories for so many. Definitely a bitter sweet documentary, but more on the sweet side. We've come so far as a society but we have got to get a lot farther a lot faster.

It’s such a treasure and gift to be able to hear trans elders talk about their experiences and talk about this little patch of joy that they had in such tough times.
