I've been meaning to watch Critters 2 for a while now. So it's even crazier that I decided to watch it today, not knowing it's set during Easter. I am still like 3 days early, but this was still very fitting.
I mean, there's honestly not too much to say about this. The critters look great again, even though I wished they would have had even more screentime. The pacing was okay, but a bit slow in the first half. The story was solidly continued, but I don't think it was great after all. The performances were decent too. The best thing about this are the vibes, I loved that small town setting, yet again. They also added much more comedy elements, which makes it even more fun.
So I would say Critters 2 is a rock solid sequel that kept the charm of the first one but also added some flaws. It's good for what it is, but definitely a step down from the first.
