Watched last night , and still don’t know what to say about it … other than I loved it .

It’s like : Holy Motors , Last Year at Marienbad , and a bond-esc spy movie with Dario Argento - adjacent visuals combined . 

I certainly understood specific parts , and have a general idea . But to be confident enough in my interpretation , I’d need to see it more . I have my loose interpretation for now . 

Can’t wait to rewatch / watch the directors other movies .

So immensely overstimulating and packed with visuals and charm and viscera. 

I didn’t follow all of it but I loved the journey it brought me on and it’s meta commentary on the genre. I had sooooo much fun with this.

So many of the sensibilities of Giallo on display here but reappropriated to a spy caper.

Such a unique way to make a 60s spy thriller. I quite enjoyed the colorful surrealist whiplash that encapsulates this film. This directing duo brings a new take to old genres that is so refreshing in this repetitive modern age of cinema.
