the ½ is exclusively for simmba because someone had to save this sinking cruiser.
watched a movie with my dad after forever and i swear we opened amazon prime like “let’s have a wholesome bonding moment” and rohit shetty said “lol ok but what if i ruined your evening.”
i cannot BELIEVE i’m saying this but arjun kapoor… acted?? like ACTED acted?? better than most people on-screen?? i was looking around like is this a prank, is someone filming my reaction, is this a social experiment???
the ramayana references were bearable until they started popping up every 4 minutes like push notifications from an app i don’t remember installing. by the end i felt like i was trapped in a school annual day performance directed by someone who recently discovered symbolism and refused to stop. zero depth. maximum second-hand embarrassment.
and let’s discuss the VFX. why did the ramleela look like it had an oscar-winning budget while the actual action scenes looked like someone exported them in 480p to save data??? who prioritized this. who approved this. who do i write a strongly worded email to.
but the CRIME of the century: shakti shetty’s screen-time. she showed up, gave charisma, talent, presence, literally carried the movie in her pinky finger, and then disappeared like rohit shetty said “okay enough now back to the plot.”
no because actually? jail for whoever made that decision. i need a shakti spin-off, trilogy, cinematic universe, extended cut, IMAX re-release. robbed is an understatement — this was daylight theft.
overall, dad-and-me movie night ended with us side-eyeing the screen and bonding over mutual disappointment. thank you simmba for trying. the rest of you, please see me in court.

Singham Again is loud, chaotic, and painfully hollow. It throws every star in Bollywood at the screen. Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor but forgets to give them a story worth telling. The first half is a mess of forced Ramayana references, clunky exposition, and over-the-top nationalism that feels more like a political ad than a film. Arjun Kapoor as “Danger Lanka” is laughably miscast, and the villain’s arc is so thin it barely registers.
The second half picks up slightly, but by then it’s too late. The action is relentless but repetitive, and the emotional stakes are nonexistent. Every character’s entry was spoiled in the trailer, so even the whistle moments land cold. The dialogues try to be punchy but come off as parody. It’s not just a bad film. It’s a bloated, exhausting experience that mistakes noise for impact. Rohit Shetty’s cop universe has officially run out of steam.
