Roku has only has four ads? Maybe I’ve been sleeping on Roku? Humphrey Bogart color??? This is a first. E.G Marshall! Another court room movie lol. Humphrey Bogart Was fantastic in this. I mean it’s the most iconic scene but his rambling and then the reaction of everyone else. I’ll have to watch the remake.

frustrierend. der film hätte perfekt sein können, wenn der Fokus einfach auf den auf letterboxd beschriebenen plot gelegt worden wäre. Leider passiert das alles erst in den letzten 30ish minuten und vorher verbringt man viel zu viel zeit mit dem "hauptcharakter" (der es nichtmal aufs poster geschafft hat, da die designer anscheinend wussten dass sein arsch null aura hat) und sein romantischer side plot, der extrem unnötig war. Alle anderen Charaktere sind aber extrem fesselnd - wenn der film funktioniert dann richtig und das Ende ist unfassbar gut. Bogie mit einer seiner besten performances.

Damn strawberries...
I saw Fredkin version before and decided to gave it a chance. Now I understand, why he only choose to direct only the trial.
First hour is dreadful, almost boring, the mention of pear harbor and military school was needed. However the romance scenes were for nothing.
The whole case, and adventures on the ship, along with diary logs are actually quite interesting to see. Other then that, the attach was impressive.
Obviously I knew the guilty right away, cause I've seen "rebooted" version.
All in all movie have great cinematography and makes interesting case in trial, especially with paranoia. Yet it could be way shorter, personally I still prefer Friedkin version.

I watched this because of my favourite episode of television, Chicanery (from Better Call Saul)
I am BLOWN AWAY!! This movie is fantastic. The starts a little slow, but all the scenes with Captain Queeg (Humphrey Bogart) are fantastic, and the entirety of the court martial is so gripping, i could not look away for a second!
