It’s beautiful filmmaking and every so often there’s a short scene where it feel truly inspired or incredibly intimate. it then feels like it’s burdened with an overwhelming sense of shame. I’m not super into the whole coming of age archetype of movies but this is sweet and terrifying I just needed a little more substance.

The cinematography is epic. The movie indulges into themes of sexual awakening and relegious guilt, which I found very unique and not often portrayed in films.

Off topic, but i lowkey had whiplash flashbacks towards the end of the movie.

I think the film could have had a more prominent plot ( the plot wasn't even clear). I just think it was a tad underwhelming, confusing even. I wish they had dived more into the themes mentioned above, and I wish they were portrayed in a clearer, more emphasized, way.

Overall, I really liked the cinematography and the theme idea, but the plot wasn't that great. The movie had a huge potential that could have been exploited, but alas.
