Actual experimental cinema at its absolute finest. George’s Melies really went completely out of the box when it came to experimental films. This case with filming a film “underwater”. Ofcourse he did not literally– however he creates the illusion that he is. The fish passing by especially was rally cool. Imagine how people reacted to that over 120 years ago… this guy was a fucking genius.
