Doug and Valerie have made a mistake. Their hate-fueled obsession with the jerks downstairs — who always seem to be singing karaoke in a brownstone, who even does that? — recently led them to flee the city for Doug’s parents’ place upstate, giving up a great deal on a rent-stabilized apartment. Their friends are horrified, and regret is setting in. They start plotting their revenge— and before they know it, they’re staging an off-Broadway play starring their nemesis.

the french italian.. it sounds sophisticated… it sounds…important
I think anyone that’s from new york/has ever lived here will appreciate this because I too would go through extensive lengths to get revenge on someone that made me lose a rent-stabilized apartment on the upper west side.I have to relate this to Theater Camp because the humor was similar and dry. Catherine Cohen reminded me so much of a mix of Rachel Sennett and Molly Gordon in this. Wasn’t what I expected going in but ended up liking it more than I thought I would. Some good laugh out loud moments that cover up the cringe parts.Chloe Cherry is hilarious but wasn’t enough to make me love this
