Evidently this was an attempt to make an American James Bond, which makes more sense when you realize they were pulling from the Roger Moore films, and also explains why it sucks. It was even written and directed by a Bond writer and Bond Director. What results is a ridiculous spy movie with weirdly low stakes, and extremely unlikable characters. You know how hard it is to make a worse spy movie than EVERY Roger Moore Bond?

I'll take Hudson Hawk or Never Too Young To Die over this any day. Bad yellowface is the lynchpin for some quasi-Bond shit that is largely pretty dry. Lots of awkward editing and direction. It's weird but it's mostly training and then parkour/gymnastics set pieces.
