A weird mix of Sexy Beast, Hell Or High Water, Collateral, and Badlands that never quite coalesces but I wholly appreciate the very big swings. The near-Malickian interludes in this thing are intoxicating if out of place, and the biggest connection I could draw was to last year’s Sundance pick You Will Never Be Alone — both are genre pieces that test the night of the viewer and will be written off by many as being too slow. I really hope this gets a theatrical release and finds it’s audience

wow !!! this is my favorite movie so far at sundance, im speechless. the visuals were incredible, the cinematography really added to so many parts of the film, it was really well done. i thought the pace was perfect with the storytelling, you really get to know the main characters and their past and how they are reacting/feeling about the situation they are in. the character development was so well written, as well as the powerful dialogue that this film had. and the performances each actor gave were unforgettable, you can tell they pour a lot of emotion into this. but the scene that truly blew me away was when dali's character gave his dialogue in the dark, where you could only mostly see his eyes and mouth. the choice of making that scene in the complete dark made his character so much more sinister, specially with his facial expressions, it was just wow. i got to talk to the director afterwards congratulating him on this film, and also his responses to the Q&A just made me love the movie even more.
