Interesting stuff. I've seen Vidal's name in passing and never really looked into him or his life. Evidently he's done a lot and has an incredible legacy, so much so that it simply put me off looking deeper because I'd need to set aside a lot of time to fully understand the man. This was a nice introduction into a period of history I was unfamiliar with. Not the biggest fan of Quinto, but he's good for this role. Direction occasionally felt a bit stale and clunky but the staging and pace made up for it. Watching this much NT has really given me an even deeper appreciation for live drama, not just the usual musicals I like. A very decent play!
