I’ve had the imagery of this movie buried in the back of my head for 15 years. I’ve been looking for it for so goddamn long. It wasn’t until I happened to stumble upon its front cover in some random thread that it instantly clicked and I knew this is what I was looking for.
After finally rewatching this a decade and a half later I’m amazed at how interesting and unique this still is. For a production of its size the ambition is not only commendable, but the fact they actually pulled it off pretty successfully is nothing short of enchanting.
I’m so vindicated that rediscovering something from my childhood actually turned out to be good for once.
