i watched these out of order because of laziness. the 3rd one appeared on my rec on netflix so yeah.
anyway, this one was the least engaging. maybe its because its their first attempt, maybe its because i had to watch it with a commercial break, not sure.
like i "get" it when i read that people say these docs are boring and have no "cinematic" value. i've seen the doc on Rocco Sifredi and as glossy, raw, and inescapably erotic as it was, it felt really fake, gross, and narcissistic.
the 'after porn ends" series looks like it was edited on windows movie maker, but i just really found myself engaged by their stories. i don't think it needs to look "cinematic" for someone to listen their stories, people just hate sex workers. as long as there is a demand for it, the porn industry will continue to consume and spit people out, and these are real people.
