The Future

i think this is very technically well done (if a bit visually/cinematographically boring) and i can tell that the writer thought a lot about the allegory and representing the material in the best way they could. this being said i have my own questions on the conclusion of no hope being the easy one to make. in a few ways i would say that this film has the same issue that most movies about race relations from The West(tm) have, where it has to ‘two side’ the issue because the oppressive class cant let themselves truly, fully recognise their status as oppressors

Nurit is like many in today’s society, focused on algorithms and analyzing patterns to study the human race. The problem is, when you sit face to face with a living, breathing person, they don’t fit into a box. We get so caught up in making assumptions about people and their motives that we are blinded to who they really are & their real intentions. Doing so has serious consequences for how we interact with the world & on future generations. Overall, the film boasts a very sharp script with moving performances, direction, & cinematography to bring it to life. The framing device is very original and a unique way to jump into the story. Recommend that everyone check it out!
