Richard (Julian Garner) is both a stockbroker and submissive little pay pig bitch to Princess Paige (Asha Boswarva). When his fantasy (and debt) spirals out of control, the pressure on his family life with frustrated wife Kelly (Felicity Price) and incel son Sam (Michael Monk) begins to mount in increasingly comedic ways
If you don’t know what a pay pig is then I suggest you google it, but for the love of God make sure you keep your credit card in your wallet at all times.
This Australian production has some interesting stuff to say, just doesn’t always say it interestingly enough. While it does land some laughs it also takes you into some pretty messed up areas of the human psyche. It is a relationship drama that explores the untold pitfalls of the chronically online modern era.
Price has sympathy throughout and Garner and Boswarva do a good job of not necessarily winning you on side, but at least gaining a perspective of their (numerous) flaws. White male privilege gets a deserved kicking but so too does guilt assuaged wokeness.
Binge has ‘Yes Princess Paige’ listed as one of the keyword search items for the film 😆
