a deftly-made social thriller critiquing the impact of market privatization in bulgaria and its larger impact on the ability to survive told through the eyes of a generation left behind. couldn’t help but feel even though this film begins to pick up pace in it’s second half that it wasn’t as thrilling as i had hoped for. strong comparisons can be drawn with some recent thrillers from eastern europe such as victim (obet) which i felt the film doesn’t accomplish as well.
