Didn't expect this kind of stylish and brisk editing that I got from this bleak cold 60s noir, but it is welcome. Zero Focus's pacing allows it to methodologically dole out clues and pump up the melodrama. The film feels really procedural in the mystery solving, but is awfully scenic too and it's narration pairs well with the pretty winter landscapes and street scenes.
