“In the end it is nothing special.”
Three different stories “a la Hong Sang-soo” about individuals who meet, talk, and walk. The film depicts the passage of time and we sit through as the actors talk. One might wonder why we should dedicate an hour and 30 minutes of our lives to watch a film about people talking and living their lives when we ourselves could just talk to others and live our own lives. Here lies the beauty of this film. It allows us to participate in each of the characters’ lives and reminisce on it af if it is our own. It’s atmosphere is calm and never condescending. As a lonely person myself, I would say that this film did something that no other film did to me. Maybe it’s because I watched it in a theater or maybe because I don’t speak often but something about watching others’ lives is something that sparks genuine interest in me. The experience of this film will surely linger on me for a long long time.
