spoilers i just gotta say, a. alamat kusijanovic just gets the mentality of a croatian (balkan) man - older/1st gen (dad) and younger/2nd gen (husband) vs how their differences, but ultimatively different shades of toxicity end up hurting and reflecting on both female perspectives (mom and daughter). this makes the moment with the son, breaking the cycle, especially strong, and gentle as well. it’s interesting to see such great understanding of family dynamics (especially in croatian/balkan households) from the directress be represented in the short movie format, after seeing it in ‘murina’ as well. jasna duricic is amazing even in the smallest of roles.
