The great thing about the animation scene post-Spiderverse is that the smaller studios will try to emulate that style, which actually ends up being much more economical and fitting for their limitations rather than trying to push for the naturalistic movement that a lot of Disney and even Pixar are known for. The Sloth Lane or A Sloth Story is able to lean into that stylized movement and make it feel natural to its world which seems to have influenced the art direction as well. The story is simplistic and isn’t anything groundbreaking, but it’s serviceable and enjoyable and something that children can easily latch onto that isn’t overly bombastic or trying to ramp up the energy to an annoying extent.
