Well well, I’m thankful I didn’t watch Gotchard as it was airing because I would’ve missed this movie man. This is easily one of the better crossover movies and easily better than battle royale.
The first act or really the first half felt so awkward in dialogue and pacing, it didn’t really know how to handle all these characters and who to focus on. But the back half of the movie is what saves it.
The emotional beats with Ace and Houtaro are probably one of the most strongest ones in recent Rider history. I love that plot twist with Kugimiya, who knew he would play a big role in this movie. I also love Rinne’s story throughout the movie, she longs to help and be able to defend herself and she finally finds the ability to do so with Kamen Rider Majade. Overall, I love the chemistry between these two rider teams.
