i started watching this with my norwegian friend, so i guess we excited to see both of our cultures represented
ok man idk if im insane or like too indoctrinated but the worst part of this film to me was how disrespectful he was to her culture. he called it weird and cultish over and over, he blamed her for his mistakes, her family constantly said he doesn’t have to do the ice baths or the skiing because obviously he’s not used to it but he did it anyway, got sick and then blamed it on thea dawg like what. and bro again he’s js out here calling her culture cultish like what is this
but obviously thea is impossibly in the wrong for not telling them about her engagement
but jesus i heavily dislike jashan
what is genuinelt so wrong about her following tradition and her own culture and he truly did not bother to treat them with respect whatsover
OLUS THAT WAS HIS FIRST TIME MEETING HER FAMILY LIKE WHAT and he proceeds to insult her cooking and call it inedible then get smashed at their christmas dinner
