the culprit is unexpected haha. i really thought it's the father, motoura. his motive would be acceptable to plant a bomb instead of the real culprit. but it turns out, it's nakaoka? very unexpected since he was not directly shown at the beginning until half of the movie, just his backstory. also, motoura introduced himself to kogouro so i really thought he was the culprit since i thought he was planning a revenge against him. but where's the thrill if he's really the culprit? haha
i really do think that half of nakaoka's motive in planting the bomb is because he can't play the soccer anymore because of his pride and ego. he just think tomofumi's death is really his only motive. he really isn't the brightest lol. what conan said to him is true. he dirtied the soccer tomofumi loves because of his own selfish pride.
however, i just can't fathom how he was willing to commit a massacre even if tomofumi is not his family nor relative not by blood. it shows the significance of creating a deep connection with someone regardless of age and/or blood.
