Transfer is ass and the English dub is really weird. But not having the additional scenes from the 80’s allows you to be more immersed in this beautifully drawn fantasy world. The use of scale and movement is CRAZY for the 50’s. You can definitely tell that Isao Takahata and Richard Williams were big fans if this work.
