A somewhat dry narration had me worried going into this but this ended being a real treasure trove of Muybridge's work and a satisfying introduction to his place in cinematic history. Of course most people are familiar with his work capturing the motion of horses, but Muybridge was just as focused on the motion of humans in various situations, each presented in nude form which still feels somewhat radical over a century later. Andersen takes time to cover the process and display of his Animal Locomotion projection, though there were stories covered briefly in the opening that I wish could have been expanded on. It's a brief but informative watch and one that helped expand my appreciation for cinema's prehistory.
