I had thought it would be the typical more futuristic setting where they have advanced equipment and they spend practically the whole movie under water or at least one the sea.
Was very surprised when not only do they hardly spend anytime on the water,it's the 40s and they're Australian?? (Though I only figure the last bit out at the end)
I think it's a really creative concept though it wasn't anything too spectacular.
There was just nothing special about it,common tropes, very predictable and not enough time with the shark we were ment to focus on,it was more "Fear above" the anything.
I did find myself really rooting for the main characters and the performances were good but the villans were really lackluster so they were more obstacles then actually characters.
I'd still say it was a good movie but more of a film to play in the background then be entertained by.
