I just want to say thank you to the creators of this who reached out to me wanting a review on the film. That being said, this is the director's [Guile Branco] debut, so I think my review deserves honesty.
This started so strong with the attention, but it faded very quickly. It felt like a sitcom episode. There was so much going on at the same time that never really connected fully. Most of the actors, specifically Lynn Lowry, did a phenomenal job. I really enjoyed the transitions between scenes and a select few shots of this, but how can you have a movie with Halloween in the title when it doesn't feel Halloween at all? Just a bit confusing to me.
Overall, this was just okay. I can definitely see the appeal that some get from it but it's just not for me. I think Mr. Branco can definitely hit the mark next film he directs, with a few changes of course.
