Australia usually gets the 90’s sad-sack clerks-y slacker comedy right, if you’re in to that sort of thing. Like true love & chaos or he died with a falafel in his hand.... maybe im just partial to Noah Taylor. If this had noah taylor as the lead i’d have rated it higher.
This has most of the right elements; the trash town, the dirty realism, the apathy, the truth in the form of narration... but just not really as memorable or stylish as it could have been.
