Decided to kickoff the first May 2024 new release watching a little 80 minute science documentary from Netflix because I needed something Sciencey to put on while I worked on a science poster project for a class.
Maybe I could have dialed in slightly more while watching but to me it just felt like a very common doc that added to my knowledge of the topic but not standing out in any way. Ashley Gething has only really directed history documentaries in the past, which may have contributed to this by the book style.
Overall, while I would not go out of my to recommend the documentary to people not asking for it I'm sure Neanderthal enthusiast will enjoy it, as long as its scientifically accurate which from my untrained eye it seemed to be.
