If you are really into abstract films or consider yourself a cinephile then this is probably right up your ally. I came into watching this film with no expectations and can appreciate the brilliance and intellectual insight of this film while disliking have to watch it with no context. I think I would’ve enjoyed reading a film analysis of this more than I enjoyed watching the film. To me it was very confusing and as Kluge said it felt like every scene was a window to a different store and you do not know what window is the most important window, so you are forced to think and make distinctions. I only recommend watching this movie if you know a lot about the period between the red army faction and the response of the german government.
