That snow on the back of the car PISSED ME OFF!!! CLEAN IT OFF YOU’RE GONNA GET IN AN ACCIDENT!!
Tribeca film festival time, with me, my friends and two teachers, one hell of a time. Our pregame was Five Guys and those fries were banging even though only 4 people were working in the back.
The acting was very good, Josh Gad surprised me since my only reference of him was him as Olaf. The editing was some of the best I’ve seen but with alright cinematography. But a very good feature debut for writer and director Nora Kirkpatrick.
The deep and serious points of the film really moved me. All the comedy hit, I love me a dark comedy, similar to A Different Man. Different from other comedies, it felt very real.
I wish some of the messages were better described within the film, especially the tree because it only made sense after watching that the director herself said the tree falling really triggered the events of the rest of the film in a way, doesn’t make total sense to the average virgin viewer going in. Also I never found out what the deer meant, wish that was more described.
Final thoughts:
This one guy in front of me and my friends never got to ask his question even though his hand was raised like 7 times, we found out after the QnA that the question was about the deer.
The actor for Agent Phil Coulson was there and I was in the bathroom with him, my friend then said to him “Hey, I thought you died in Avengers!”
This whole field trip was just me and my friends and it’s a classic. First time at a film festival and it felt special.
Live, laugh, love…Josh Gad dancing with a lamp.
