Berlinale 2025
Loved it. Adore the humor, ever joke hit the way it’s supposed to which probably made my experience much more pleasant. I feel like the family dynamics and relationships between the characters were explored nicely and sort of gave a unique insight to each of the characters. I must be honest tho, I wish there was a bit more focus on each of them individually. The ending was the one thing that solidified my opinion on this picture, it was beautiful and a perfect finale to the story. I have a soft spot for stories set in the sixties because the overall atmosphere never dissapoints, here even with my favorite thing - major socio political changes. However I must say that there wasn’t any clear message about the protests of ’68. As much as I can see that it may be divisive for some people, giving no critical perspective made the whole plotline around it too safe and even frustrating, all the talks about how art can be provocative or evoke emotions but here they lack exactly that
