funniest thing i’ve seen in a while bro EVERY joke landed. such a fun watch + every scene brought smth new to the table. each character was portrayed in a way that left you wanting more. this short film honestly tackles the topic of black hair. sadly, society expects black women to keep their hair a certain way, a way “suitable” for the workplace, school, etc. the main character expresses her discomfort surrounding this subject. she is in a situation where perfection is expected of her. going to a family event, she knows she must have her hair done since her natural hair may be seen as unkept or distracting (when it really isn’t). she represents a whole community, and i don’t think many people will catch on to that when watching this. w more development, this could really be something. someone cooked here!
