Criterion get on this film! - I need to watch this restored and with new subtitles. Old Well is such a hidden gem.

This film has so much more to offer than the already intriguing description; Village Feuds, Romantic drama, and feudal living in China.

I loved the scenes with all the extras, which I assume are real village people, Kurosawa level. Their red and blue clothing pop in the harsh but beautiful natural scenery.Could even close in on a 5-star movie for me, but the subs were bad so did not get all the details.Zhang Yimou the actor must have learned from Tianming Wu because there are many similarities between them.
