sandra bullock and nicole kidman came back after 28 years just to discover that apparently the curse needed a sequel (?)
the original had that weird cozy witchy charm, this one feels like someone opened the practical magic folder on a studio computer and hit “make another one” 😭
the sisters are still fun together and nicole kidman is clearly having the time of her life, but the script is so overstuffed and the whole thing is way too long for what it actually has to say. visually it also feels noticeably flatter than the original, which is criminal considering this is supposed to be a witch movie……..
and yes i still love looking at these women in that house doing witch shit, but nostalgia cannot carry 130 minutes on its back
at least the margaritas are still working overtime 🍸
