i don't think this was necessarily horrible by any means but it definitely lacks depth. like most of the reviews i have to agree that it promises more than it delivers. the script is very confusing and the dynamics are so strange. i think they started too many storylines and didn't finish a single one. it could have been so much more!! i don't like watching a movie and being left with too many questions, mystery and interpretation are essential but not to this extent.

as for positives i can say that i love the cinematography and the acting, those are two major pluses for me. another thing i loved was the heart of the story being about motherhood and tying it all together with ada and her pregnancy. the final scene with ada and roksana's mom really stood out to me. it shed a real light into why roksana is how she is and her mom as well, it also seems like a turning point for ada as well after everything with her mom and her feelings about her own pregnancy.

can we also acknowledge her driving like why was she always speeding off 😭

i think that this movie had great potential but the writing and multiple unfinished plot points ruined it. ada’s storyline could have been interesting with its similarities to roksana’s but they didnt give it a chance to unravel the. that being said, i think i missed something because honestly the ending confused me more than it cleared anything up 😭 

overall a hard hitting story that dealt with many intense emotions and no one can deny how beautifully shot it was, i live for color in films and this had so many good color schemes.
