okay so this loses a half star because the last 20-30 minutes weren’t as strong as the rest of the film. i was more intrigued in the beginning half and then i sort of lost the plot and a tad bit of interest afterwards. i honestly thought this would be more gruesome because of the direction it seemed to be headed, which i honestly wish it was but alas…
very visually appealing though i loved the 35mm grain (i just love 35mm…); and i really loved the scene with joy sitting in the chair tweaking the hell out while gruder is talking. the change of colors and surrealist eyes floating around in the air…lowkey reminded me of house in a way. and don’t even get me started on the outfits…THEY WERE SO AMAZING.
would recommend watching this with a beer in hand and being the only person in the audience
