Honestly had a lot of potential, but it never really reached the level I expected. I went into it thinking it would be more suspenseful and thrilling, especially with Samuel L. Jackson leading the movie, but it felt kind of flat from beginning to end. That being said, Samuel Jackson still did a great job in his role, and Keke Palmer was really good too. Keke always plays that daughter/sister type role perfectly and brought more emotion to the movie whenever she was on screen.
The biggest problem for me was the ending. It just felt empty and didn’t really answer much of anything, especially when it came to the family side of the story. For a movie that tries to build mystery, the payoff wasn’t worth it at all. I wouldn’t really recommend it if you’re looking for something intense or suspenseful because it never fully delivers on that feeling.
